Conductive Epoxy Adhesives: Electrostatic discharge is a significant concern in a wide variety of environments, including: clean rooms, computer rooms, electronic manufacturing and assembly areas, etc. The static electricity transmitted through the human body is enough to damage sensitive electronic devices.
The best solution is to dissipate this electricity through static dissipative or conductive tiles and adhesives. Milamar manufacturers two conductive adhesives:
MA-8252 - A strong, conductive two-part epoxy adhesive that adheres conductive vinyl sheet flooring and tile to concrete and various other substrates. It is a carbon-filled, 1:1 ratio adhesive that is trowled on with a 1/16" square-notched trowel. It can withstand foot traffic within 24 hours and equipment can be positioned after 48 hours.
MA-8254 - A unique, solvent-free, high bond strength adhesive that adheres conductive vinyl sheet flooring and tile to concrete and various other substrates. It is low in VOCs and very environmentally friendly. With a 1 1/2 hour work life, MA-8254 reaches an initial set at two hours. Stable conductivity levels are typically obtained after 24 hours.
